The Perfect Escape
Croft Foot Farm is a working hill farm, nestled among the majestic Cumbrian mountains. As well as being in very easy reach of both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, we are surrounded by footpaths to take you into the nearby fells, where you can experience perfect solitude and stunning views for miles. If you want to reconnect with nature and take a break from life’s pressures, we can promise you the getaway you need. With easy access to coast, forest, mountain and town, our farm is both perfectly situated and yet offers you total isolation from the world at large.
Our local area has some incredible attractions. From Michelin-guide food and world-class countryside, to ancient Neolithic sites and fascinating stately homes. Away from it all, but easy to access via the nearby M6 and A66 roads, Croft Foot Farm is the perfect luxury family getaway, whether you are looking for a short break to take a breather, or a longer holiday to relax.
Luxury Glamping
Our luxury glamping pods have been built to an exceptionally high standard by the Original Pod Company, who have mastered their artform. Design, comfort and longevity – our pods give you everything you could need in style. Each luxurious family pod is finished to a very high standard, featuring underfloor heating, a cleverly designed wet room with hot shower and flush toilet, along with a kitchenette featuring a fridge, kettle, Nespresso machine, toaster, microwave and a small induction hob. Each of our two pods sleeps two adults and two children, with a full size double bed and a pull-out sofa bed, and features your own private outdoor seating area with views stretching across the valley. There are also outdoor barbeque facilities and cooking equipment, with high-quality meat packs available from the farm. Footpaths lead directly from the pod compound into the surrounding fells, for a whole world of beautiful countryside walks.

The Tub in The Woods
If you find the pull of stargazing in perfect darkness irresistible, we have a secret to tempt you with. In a secluded wooded area, away from our glamping pods, we have built our high-spec, family size hot tub, the Tub in the Woods. In total seclusion, you can gaze out at the perfectly dark skies from our luxury jacuzzi, sipping a drink or simply enjoying the silence. Our hot tub, shared between the two luxury pods, is treated to the highest health and safety standards and has its own seating area, from which you and your guests can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Our private and secluded site has been designed with your family in mind. Our glamping pods are situated in a securely gated field, secluded from the working farm buildings, and our surfaced car park is right next to the pods themselves. Our space is perfectly safe for your kids to run around and enjoy the great outdoors, and the easy access means that there is no hauling your equipment through muddy fields. Our luxury glamping pods provide everything you need for a stress-free family holiday, including a welcome pack, tea and coffee and sometimes fresh eggs from our farm. Croft Foot Pods is run by Amy Bateman who is also a professional photographer. Following winning British Life Photographer of the ear she now offers Photography courses and workshops based here, at Croft Foot Farm. From Masterclasses on the Introduction to Photography, to farm based photography tours – being a farmer and photographer means she can expertly show you how to capture life on the farm. With such intimate knowledge of farm life you will go away with a unique collection of images and hopefully improved skills to match. This unique diversification is the only one offered in the country.
